VOLUNTEER |Want to get involved in Shepherd's ministry? Your time and support are precious to us!
There are many opportunities for you to give of your time and expertise to support Shepherds of Independence…
We can always use your help, whatever your gift may be.
If you have time on your hands, we have projects and tasks for you. If you have money, we would love to put that to good use on our many projects, such as a kitchen remodel or a new elevator, both of which are quite outdated. If you have other resources, such as appliances, friends, a working vehicle, knowledge, or a skill, we would love to talk to you about how you can help out at Shepherds.
Please visit our donate page for more information on different ways you can help.
Shepherds of Independence is looking for Resident Visitors to become companions for their mentally and/or physically disabled residents. Most of the residents are without friends or family members to support them and could use a volunteers company. A Resident Visitor can sit and chat with someone, go for a walk, play a game, or plan an activity with a group, such as baking or arts and crafts! The possibilities are up to you! There is no training requirement for this position; however, we are looking for friendly, creative individuals to help out. Volunteers must be outgoing and like to work with others! Hours are flexible!
